If you are a newcomer to the world of algorithms, mathematics, or programming, this game might seem too daunting for you. However its simple premise is quite poignant. The protagonist has awakened in a land where all knowledge has been forgotten. The only way to find answers is to explore while protected by your trusty companion Atreus that lets you take control of his spear arm. Outside of this little trailer there's not much else to really tell you about this game, but it's been made by the same people that brought us the Greek myth of "Odyssey", and "God of War" and in both franchises they make great games. For those who like action and puzzles, this game will probably be a fun experience.The Metacritic score for Shadow of the Colossus is 79% based on 23 critic reviews making it a fairly well received game. There are minimal graphics assets with no music nor sound effects, hence it can be said to be an almost silent game. The game is meant to be played with either a controller or using the keyboard. The primary goal is to guide Wander across various levels in order to encounter the colossi and defeat them. There are 16 colossi in total (17 if you count the final colossus as one), each level has its own unique design and setting which gives each stage its own feel. In each level, the player has a limited amount of time to find the colossus and defeat it.The protagonist is able to run, jump, climb, use a sword and bow. The protagonist also has a limited ability to manipulate his enemies, such as pushing them off cliffs or pulling them in. The AI is not bad but it can be seen as somewhat predictable if you resort to a specific strategy in one spot.Shadow of the Colossus allows players to take on its challenges alone or with others online in co-op mode. Players take on the role of Wander or his son Atreus and go up against massive creatures called Colossi that roam this forgotten land for hundreds or thousands of years. The game is similar to its predecessors, which can be seen as a reboot and remaster of the gaming series. The classic design and gameplay remain the same, but modernized with better graphics and additional features. New types of weapons and new abilities were included in order to bring something new to the table.During the storyline, the player encounters many challenges such as having to climb massive Colossi such as a reptilian-like colossus (referred as Colossi Aaor) that has scales that allow it to swim through rivers or swim in water.
